I want to show that pitbulls can be kind and loving dogs. Because not all pits should be labeled as that, and because they truly are. Pits are peaceful!
Some people think pitbulls are mean, but that is not always true. Just like people, dogs are different from each other.
Pitbulls help people, not hurt them. There are lots of stories where they saved kids from fires and helped their owners when they were in danger.
If you are kind to a dog and train it well, it can be a great pet. Study shows while there nice, strong, and protective, because of the mistreatment and them being misunderstood, they tend to become a danger. But, Pitbulls can be friendly and fun!!
A person named Nebojša Vujinović wrote in May 2023 on Southwest Journal that we should not judge dogs just by their breed. It talks about how pits can become dangerous because of their mistreatment and them being misunderstood a lot. Each pit has its own story.
Another website called Dogster made a list of 15 most dangerous dog breeds. In addition to all of that they said that how a dog acts depends on how it is raised and treated. It shocks me that a small dog breed like a Chihuahua, can be ranked number five while pits are down at 12.
And to be honest, some of us don't even deserve pits, animals even. But our animals, our pits, they still love us... So why not just love them?
I love pitbulls because they are sweet and caring, I love my own little pit. She always want to play and cuddle, and I can never stay mad at her. She makes me smile and laugh a lot everyday. She is family to me.There is never a day I would regret the day me and my mom adopted her. I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world!!
They are strong, but also gentle. They don’t judge anyone, they always love you back when you love them. All we have to do is treat them with love, and care. Because after everything, they have my back, your back, everyones back, and they deserve it. There have been numerous times where Owners gave up on them, but they never gave up on us... They deserve this little bit.
In 2018,there was a story published on People. A pitbull named Sasha saved a baby from a burning house in California. When the fire started, Sasha barked loudly and even pulled the baby by her diaper to bring her to safety.
The family said Sasha acted fast and helped save their lives. Word for word on the website it states "Chaichanhda also told CBS Los Angeles that she hopes Sasha’s courageous act will help change the negative perception of pit bulls."This shows that pitbulls can be heroes too. However, if Sasha was a person, there would be a glint of doubt, hesitation even, because let's face it, most if not all people are selfish...
Some other stories from Dogtime. There are five life changing stories where pits saved their owners lifes. For them to be this brave to risk their lives shows a deep bond, and love for their owners. It's esential that we need to display that type of bond and love back.
Those pits are heroes. There are some people who wouldn't have done what they did... They really deserve more than the world
Pitbulls are not all bad. They just need love, they need to trust and believe that there are people for them, who want them and love them. They are very brave, gentle, strong, with lots of love. I've learned that how a dog acts depends on how it is treated and raised. Many pitbulls are heroes and best friends to people. Just like my pitbull named KayKay is my best friend, my other half if I was a dog. I hope more and more people see how special these pits are. PeacefulPits ~K.F, my IB community project!
